Larder: Cream Cheese

Not everybody lives within walking distance of a Jewish deli. And those of us who do should cut out the weekly trips. Problem is, shop-bought soft cheese can be as phony as the equivalent bagels, while the stuff those deli folk ram in their tubs is so blinking tasty. In the case of the following, however, we’ll stop whining.

Essential Waitrose creamy soft cheese
70p

Fork out £1.30 for Philly at your peril. Waitrose has come up trumps with this fluffy, creamy, completely dreamy cream cheese.
