Festive thrift: Taste tests

Just added: Gobbler’s best bubbly

Happy new year!

M&S would have you believe that Christmas looks like a great big pantomime at the Playboy mansion, with Take That and Twiggy rolling about in a sea of turkey, hurling great wads of cash into the sky. M&S are plain-faced liars.

We regular ‘umans need all the help we can when it comes to financing Christmas, and selecting the tastiest food for the tastiest price is a great place to start. So, we at Gobbler have arranged a series of festive Larder entries to help in the struggle, starting with the humble mince pie:

Larder: Mince pies

And now for the pudding…

Larder: Christmas pud

Here’s a little something to help you ease into 2010 for less.

Larder: Sparkling wine
