Hugh’s Borlotti Baked Beans



(serves 2)

250g Borlotti beans
Passata
1 tsp brown sugar
Pinch of paprika
Pinch of mace
1 tbsp cider vinegar

  1. Tip the beans into a pan of boiling water and simmer for 10 minutes
  2. Drain the water, put the beans back in the pan, and cover them with passata
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and cook gently for another 3-5 minutes
  4. Serve on toast
