Hugh’s Borlotti Baked Beans
(serves 2)
250g Borlotti beans
Passata
1 tsp brown sugar
Pinch of paprika
Pinch of mace
1 tbsp cider vinegar
- Tip the beans into a pan of boiling water and simmer for 10 minutes
- Drain the water, put the beans back in the pan, and cover them with passata
- Add the remaining ingredients and cook gently for another 3-5 minutes
- Serve on toast
